Want to become a trader for a bank, or yourself? An opportunity has been made available for interested candidates to be trained on trading in the financial markets at the Pan-African Institute for Development – West Africa (PAID-WA), Buea.
ABOUT THE FINANCIAL MARKETS
A financial market is a market in which people trade financial securities and derivatives at low transaction costs. These securities include stocks (e.g. TSLA, AAPL, MSFT and many more), precious metals (e.g. gold, platinum, palladium and more), currency pairs (e.g. EUR/JPY, GBP/CAD, USD/ZAR and many more), energies (e.g. crude oil, natural gas and heating oil), cryptocurrencies (e.g. BTC, ETH and more), market indices (e.g. Dow Jones, FTSE 100, CAC 40 and many more) and agricultural commodities (e.g. soybeans, corn, coffee and more).
- The program is composed of two (2) sessions:
Theory & Practice session (Tuesday, 22 Oct – Friday, 15 Nov 2019)
You will learn (i) important terms and concepts used in the financial markets; (ii) what is
traded and how to trade any financial product; (iii) to develop a trading strategy; (iv) to use
various mathematical trading indicators (without all the fuss of memorising formulas); (v) to
interpret economic & political indicators (vi) practice trading using virtual currency.
- Live trading session (Tuesday, 19 Nov – Fri, 13 Dec)
By this stage, you will have practiced trading in the financial markets as any professional
trader would, and may choose and are encouraged to begin Live trading. Live trading
involves using real currency so as to earn profits.

PROGRAM DURATION: Two (2) months. Tuesday to Friday each week.
